EPPC sponsor of the Chair of the Economy of Ecological Urban Transition

(Real Estate, Housing, Architecture, Interior Design)

EPPC, alongside CDC Habitat, Aéroports de Paris, Groupama Immobilier and Fresh architectures, is the sponsor of the Chair of the Economy of the Ecological Transition in the City, led by Ingrid Nappi and associating the Louis Bachelier Institute – Foundation for Risk Management, the ENPC and ENSA Paris Malaquais.

In this capacity, EPPC is associated with the teaching and research programs developed within the Chair, notably within the PSL University and its partners.

The inaugural session at the Collège de France took place on March 6, 2024, in the presence of representatives of the United Nations agency responsible for environmental programs (UNEP).

Our objectives under this partnership:

  • Interacting with academic research to better understand the relationships between the economic and financial balance sheets of real estate project development and environmental performance,
  • Develop a robust and scalable method for integrating the economic and financial analysis of real estate projects into their carbon, resource, and biodiversity impacts: carbon pricing, bonus-malus based on decarbonized performance, and the valuation of positive externalities generated in terms of resource economy and biodiversity conservation.

Thanks to this partnership, EPPC is at the forefront of research on the economic model for combating global warming applied to real estate.

A first application for EPPC as early as 2024-2025: the economic analysis of projects developed in the operational sector of Part Dieu (177 ha), on the tertiary programs (more than 1 million m²).2 tertiary) and then residential.

Eymeric de Montauzon is associated with this approach. Marion Nicolas and Jennyfer Esso are also involved.
