Dynamics of the development of private higher education in Ile-de-France
EPPC, in collaboration with the National School of Bridges and Roads (AMUR master’s program), has just commissioned a study on the development dynamics of private higher education institutions in Île-de-France.
These establishments host 1 out of 5 students in Île-de-France, which is 150,000 students, and experience a growth rate of their student numbers that is far higher than that of public institutions.
More than 200 educational sites have been identified and visited, allowing to distinguish 5 major types of layout, the internal organization of the volumes and the interaction with the urban environment.
By 2030, these establishments could accommodate more 26 % a number of Francilienne students, representing a growth in the number % of students admitted of more than 40 compared to the 2018 situation.
At this horizon, three development scenarios for private educational campuses have been developed for the entire Île-de-France region.
